The Meaning of Friendship
To my mind, a friend is someone who is always there when they are needed.
A friend will always make an effort, even if they are angry at you, or upset.
A friend will tell you when you’re wrong, and stop you from doing things you will regret.
They will invite you to everything, even if they know you can’t or won’t come, and they will always make as much effort as they can to go to things that you invite them to, within reason.
A true friend will always forgive your mistakes, and remember the things that they have done to help you.
A real friend will never lie to you, never forget you, and always make some kind of an effort, no matter what they’re going through, or how much pain they are in themselves.
And a true friend will never, ever stab someone in the back, will never just use you to get what they need, and always treat you with at least some level of respect.
